The Richard Nixon Presidential Library and Museum has partnered with Viet Stories: Vietnamese American Oral History project at the University of California, Irvine to host an art, history, and oral history exhibition that advances the Nixon Library’s efforts to promote understanding of the Vietnamese diaspora that followed at the end of President Nixon's administration. The exhibition remembers the past and captures the diversity and transformation of the current Vietnamese American community. VIET STORIES incorporates the history of refugees and immigrants from Vietnam through historical photographs, documents, artifacts, oral history interviews, and original artwork by prominent Vietnamese American artists.

Designer Bao Tranchi was prominently exhibited with several cases showcasing her family’s history in photos and artifacts and their story of how they immigrated to America as well as exhibiting Bao’s extensive career accomplishments. Her dress. sketches, and photos of her work were all on display.
